Smeltzer-Larry.jpgOriginally from Fergus, Ontario, where he played his minor lacrosse, he went on to junior and senior lacrosse in Ontario and the National (the first NLL pro league) Lacrosse League before he was enticed out west to Victoria, British Columbia. He is recognized in both the east and west a top-flight defensive goaltender with accurate long-pass offensive skills.  He earned 370 assists in 277 games.
