Lacrosse for Life is a player development pathway that helps Canadians participate in lacrosse -- have fun, learn skills, and develop to their full potential over the long term. It is based on best practices in sport training and coaching from around the world, and it is our way of keeping lacrosse fun and safe for kids of all ages and sizes, even while we develop the champions of tomorrow.
The Canadian Lacrosse Association's Lacrosse for Life is a philosophy that has engaged many members from across Canada in its theory. Now, the CLA, BC Lacrosse Association and all of the CLA Provincial/Territorial Members are in various stages of implementation. Please see the Lacrosse for Life information posted on the Canadian Lacrosse Association website link - http://cla.pointstreaksites.com/view/cla/about-42/lacrosseforlife
Lacrosse for Life is significant because it applies the most current international research in athlete development to the long-term task of developing athletes for championship performance. As an additional benefit, it also promotes greater participation for athletes of all abilities and wellness for a larger segment of Canadian society. From community play to world competition, Lacrosse for Life addresses the needs of all athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers.
