BC Ferries Sport Experience Program - Guidelines   On-Line Application.  To assist in the costs of teams traveling, the BC Ferries Sport Experience Program has been developed to provide travel support to not-for-profit sport organizations. Eligible applicants may apply for up to 2 one-way passenger vouchers per eligible traveller. Through this exciting program, BC Ferries and ViaSport British Columbia will assist with ferry travel costs for athletes, coaches and team managers.

2017 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG).  NAGI Team BC is pleased to announce its official lacrosse rosters for the 2017 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) to be held in Toronto, Ontario. Tryouts were held in Kamloops, BC on August 13-14, 2016 where 110 athletes competed for spots on Team BC’s Development Squad. Team BC’s lacrosse rosters were finalized during selection camps held in the spring. Female Box Lacrosse is a newly added category to the Games and Team BC is proud to field a competitive team for this historic event.

Officials to Wear CSA Approved Helmets. The Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) has mandated a policy that, as of January 1st, 2017, all on-floor Box Lacrosse Officials must wear a CSA approved black helmet in order to referee a game.  This includes Mini-Tyke games up to the Senior A level. Referee will not be allowed on the floor without a helmet.

INTERNATIONAL LACROSSE EVENTS/INFORMATION

2017 FIL Senior Women's Field Lacrosse World Cup -  Website   Schedule   Press Release 

A total of 25 nations are set to compete for the title of World Champion between July 12-22, 2017 at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford, England.  Team Canada, which brought home a silver medal during the last World Cup in 2013, will kick-off their tournament with five round robin games in six days between July 13-18. The tournament's knockout stage will commence on July 19, with Canada guaranteed a quarter-final game. Should they advance, the semi-finals will be played on July 20 and the championship final on July 22.   BC Athletes on Team Canada are Selena Lasota, Megan Kinna and Danita Stroup.

  

Team Canada Senior Women's Field Participating in the 2017 World Games. The Olympic Channel will live stream daily coverage from The World Games 2017, which take place July 20-30, in Wroclaw, Poland. As a result, lacrosse fans from across Canada will have the opportunity to watch our senior women's national team as they compete at the Games this summer against Poland, Australia, Great Britain, Japan and the USA.  The World Games 2017 are the first international multi-sport games where lacrosse will be a part of the official competition program, a significant milestone for a sport trying hard to break into the summer Olympics - click here.
